I am learning to read and recognise compound words.

"Compound words are two words that make one word, like anywhere, and today.  The books are sometimes easy that I read.  Diya, Zurielle and Mrs Wyatt helps me with my reading."

I have noticed that Aila has greatly improved with her reading. At the moment, she loves to read to me and her little sister. She is very proud to tell us that she can read tricky words! Thank you for the guidance~~

Aila's love for books and reading has greatly improved. She likes to read aloud for us and her little sister at home. I noticed that more and more she has been trying to read all the signs or words she sees in the streets or anywhere when we go out. She tries to read all of the words in one go if familiar to her. She sounds the letters first and slowly combines them if its a long word or what she calls "tricky" words.

It's Teacher Wyatt's fault that my husband and I cannot "spell-talk" anymore, because Aila is trying to work out the letters we say to words and usually figures it right. Also cannot converse secretly by writing because Aila always tries reading it and gets it right.

It is also Teacher Wyatt's fault that Aila has high confidence in reading and borrowing so much books including "big kid's books"(as per Aila) from the community library, crowding our little house.
